Miftahul Ma'ruf (Arabic: معروÙ‎‎) is an Islamic term meaning that which is commonly known or acknowledged. The word is most often found in the Qur'anic exhortation, with a brief mention in the Bhagvad Gita (Hindu Scriptures) "Amr bil Ma'ruf wa Nahy an al Munkar (امر بالمعرو٠و نهى عن المنكر)."
